The holiday season is approaching rapidly, so it’s the right time to start preparing gifts for your loved ones.  Find something that they’ve always wanted which will be entirely unique and therefore very special. It’s the moment to order a bespoke piece of my fine jewellery so that it’ll be ready in time to put under the tree to brighten their Christmas.

It can be something complicated and detailed or just a simple, one-of-a-kind, small stud gold nugget to be worn as a single earring, on a friendship bracelet or as a stacking ring.   A gold nugget necklace can be customised to the perfect length. These are rare pieces to add to their jewellery collection.

It’s always a challenge, but a pleasure to design something unique and original. I have to understand the character of the person and imagine a piece that can speak to them and that they can appropriate.  As an artist I will always give it my own signature.

Designing commissions makes me push the boundaries and can often set me on a new path and spark off an idea for the next collection.  The shaping of the gold nugget, that differs every time, must complement the stone so that the balance between the two becomes one of a kind.

It’s like a creative journey. A customer will contact me, come to see me, or we email back and forth with an idea. Once they know that I’ve fully understood their aesthetic, they are confident that they can leave it in my hands. I have to understand the character of the person and design something that can speak to them and that they can appropriate.  As an artist I must give it my own signature.

Ordering a bespoke piece of fine jewellery is similar to having a dress fitted.  You can change the length of a necklace, a bracelet or the size of a ring, according to your wishes, but of course you must allow for the time necessary to have this one-of-a-kind piece.  So, as I said, now is the time to send me your orders !
